Tuesday

I am sitting at my computer and all I have on my mind is Tuesday. I just met Tuesday through her mama's blog. I prayed for Tuesday and her family. I prayed that a miracle would happen, that the doctors would be wrong, that she would just get better. I am so sad. I still pray that her family has peace. Please pray for Tuesday's family.

A New Start

Today is my new start. I am committing myself to blogging in order to preserve memories that I am quickly losing and to cherish moments that I think I am too busy to think about.

I read plenty of blogs myself so I am at my computer for a chunk of the day. And my hand written journal for my little ones has not seen the light of day for a long time.

So today I start. Both of my little ones are sick with runny noses and coughs. Sounds familiar??? Well I am becoming more laid back about it. Yes they will get sick and no there is nothing I can do about it. So there. I will take care of them to the best of my ability. Luckily they are resting nicely now.

So what do I want out of this blog???? I want a place where I can share my feelings, the good times and the crummy times. I want to connect with people who understand what its like to have two babies or two toddlers....at the SAME TIME!!!!! I love reading others blogs because at times it makes me feel like there is someone out there that understands me. Thats a nice feeling.

Sickness

Ava & Jake are sick once again. COLDS!!!!!! Puts a bit of a damper on things, makes toddler crankier, more clingy, but we are moving ahead.

In being more observant, I have noticed how much Ava loves books. She will flip pages and look at pictures and point and be totally engrossed. Jake is my BOY. He just loves to move around and be rough and tough.

And getting to rough, hair pulling and biting have become every day occurrences. I can't wait for this stage to be over.

On a more positive note

I have decided that I think what I need to do is start having a positive attitude. Having twins is hard!!!! but I think I need to start focusing on the positive and enjoying each second in life. I find that I am harping on the negative and wishing precious seconds away.

Sometimes I am so caught up in scrapbooking and capturing the moment that I don't realize that I am missing the perfect moment, the great moments. I think this is my lesson for a while. Learn to just stop, let everything else go, and enjoy what my husband and I have created.

My First New Post

I have been reading so many blogs lately that I have been inspired to create my own. I think that it will be a wonderful thing for Ava & Jake to look back at. I attempted to start a journal but that did not work out. I am thinking about my title and although it sounds negative, I think its real. Having twins is hard! It's something that tests your endurance and your patience. It's wonderful as well and when you think about the fact that you have 2 special human beings as opposed to one it leaves you in awe.

Before I continue, I should introduce myself. My name is Patricia. I am 28 years old. I used to be a 3rd grade teacher. But most importantly I am the mother of twins, Ava & Jake, 14 month old beauties. My pregancy, which was my first, was normal up until my standard 18 week ultrasound when they discovered there were two as opposed to just one. My reaction, very happy and SHOCKED. Well 2 weeks later due to a disappering cervix, I had a cerclage and was on bedrest till the end. I had Ava & Jake at exactly 35 weeks when my cerclage was removed and everything went smoothly.
